Yes! A few years back I was visiting my family in Boise, and it was suggested to go visit the Botanical Gardens. I was very impressed. There were lights of every color on every tree and shrub there. My grandsons enjoyed it as well. I believe your daughter would enjoy it, but children of that age group have short attention spans. Night photography would be great!

Hi Karen, thanks for visiting. I used to be a real estate agent but I have alternate motives for this site. BTW: I too graduated from Boise High, that would be almost 20 years ago... :-\

As for the north end it is still the north end, highly sought after and making up only about 5 to 7 percent of the real estate market. The numbers this year aren't that different than last. In my opinion the north end is holding value and the homes are still selling even with the national market in a slump. Yet if you are looking for some better info I suggest contacting a practicing Realtor.

Jason,
I have enjoyed your blog for some time. I enjoy the extra little tidbits about Boise that you put in your blog, as I was raised in Boise, but left when I graduated from Boise High School.

From your notes, I gather, you are a Real Estate Agent? Am I correct on this part? I am wondering how the real estate market is in the Boise north end. This was the area I lived in and where my heart is.

Great tips. Buying a home in Idaho is a good choice, but, like anything, requires planning and a critical eye. Thanks for posting this!
