Feudal System vs Allodial System
Going back in history, looking at the feudal system we see a time where the king(s) owned all the land and it was the king who bestowed the land to friends, family, etc in exchange for loyalty and favors. This is how real estate was handled centuries ago.
Today looking at the United States we know of a very different real estate market, one controlled by the allodial system. The allodial system is a legal system that allows property rights to be passed to individuals. People can own property and possess all the rights associated with such ownership. Basically, being able to do with the property as they wish as long as it doesn’t interfere with any government restrictions.
