Boise weather has its extremes… Winters can be extremely cold while it isn’t unusual to have summers that bake the average person with 100 degree weather. Often times we don’t want to see Spring and Fall end simply because it is so pleasant and beautiful. Nevertheless, one season comes while another ends.
Homeowners, each year, should take the time to do some routine maintenance on their homes. It is easy to over look the day-to-day comforts that we use as long as they are working. Below is a very short list of some common items that should be checked on a regular basis.
- Air conditioner, if you have one, should be checked annually to make sure it is functioning to the best of its ability.
- Furnace should also be checked annually as well, it does need an occasional tune-up. Change or clean the filters in your furnace monthly to ensure it continues to run efficiently.
- The foundations should be checked annually to see if there are any signs of cracks or shifting.
As you can see this is a very short list of “to dos” but in the long run it can give you and your family some peace of mind knowing that these items are running efficiently and correctly.
