Art in the Park

Every year I look forward to the 1st weekend in September when the annual “Art in the Park” is held at Julia Davis Park. The event continues to grow and so does the variety of art and crafts. Unfortunately, I rarely buy anything but that isn’t necessarily by choice. Each year I tell myself “Next year I will buy me something when I have more money.” Luckily I don’t have to worry about the event going away because it brings in thousands of people and isn’t a burden on the city.

For parents with young children there is a big tent with all sorts of arts and crafts for children. I must say that Madalyn and I spent most of our time there. I must warn you though… Be prepared to do some walking, parking is not readily available.

Another reason why I love to live in Boise Idaho. This coming weekend is the Hyde Park Street Fair, this is similar to “Art in the Park” but more like a block party with the smell of patchouli oil.
