Hollywood Market
Recently the Hollywood Market on 8th street received its third violation to selling alcohol to minors. Because of this they can’t sell alcohol for 90 days. For a small grocery store this is going to be difficult and any of you that have ever stopped by to pick up a few things know Margaret Lawrence is a wonderful sweet lady.
I remember years ago, living in the north side of Boise heading into her shop for a nice cold one. She seemed to always do a good job of making sure I had my ID. It was a neat experience to pop into the neighborhood market for a few things, which many take for granted. I don’t condone what she did and it is hard to justify, I just wish people would not take advantage of sweet elderly women.
I truly hope her store survives the next few months and if I am in the area I will definitely stop in for a candy bar. I hope others will do the same.
