Boise Depot
The old Boise Train Depot is a great spot to shoot some photographs and look upon downtown Boise. It attracts many photographers each day taking all sorts of pictures from portraits to landscapes. Next time you driving by take a few minutes and walk around, the landscaping is quite beautiful. The back side is neat… you can envision travelers getting off the train or waiting behind the white line for their train. Use your imagination.
The Boise Depot is a beautiful historic Spanish-style structure operated by the Boise Parks & Recreation Department. Designed by New York architects, the building opened in 1925 to elaborate fanfare in the capital city.
Winter public hours are Noon - 4:00 p.m. Sundays and 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Mondays (October through May).
Summer public hours are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sundays and 12:30 - 8:00 p.m. Mondays (June through September).
