Disc Golf – What is it?
As I am walking through my subdivision in Columbia Village I stumble across what appears to be metal baskets with chains hanging down. For the life of me I have not idea what they are. (Shows you how much I get out) Nevertheless as I continue to walk the area I find more and more. Throughout I am also finding signs similar to golf, PAR 3.
Okay, I think I am starting to get it. It is some sort of game, right? Right! It is called disc golf or Frisbee golf. Apparently, this is a game similar to traditional golf but players use flying discs.
The object of the game is to traverse the course from beginning to the end throwing discs into the basket with the fewest throws. Sound pretty cool, I think I may give it a try some day.

You should definitely give disc golf a try! It’s an inexpensive sport that makes you get outside and enjoy the weather- even if it’s windy. It’s fun because you can bring your kids and even take a mulligan if you need to. I wish I saw more of those baskets around town! Play on…
