Boise Idaho 4th of July
With the 4th of July quickly approaching pretty soon there will be fireworks stands popping up all over the place. Kids and the kid at heart will be lighting fireworks off throughout the city. For the most part it isn’t too bad and it usually quiets down by 11pm or so.
There are legal and illegal fireworks that can be obtained in the area. Boise is pretty strict on what can and can’t be lit in the city limits. Up to $100 fine for offenders… Illegal fireworks include ones that explode, leave the ground on their own accord, ones that travel outside a 15foot diameter and the like. Basically, what you can buy in the corner fireworks stand is what you can light off and they can be pretty lame.
Personally I like to save my money and watch the ones the city lights off along with other peoples’. If it is 2am in the morning and you are being kept awake by illegal fireworks you can report the unlawful use by calling 377-6790.
If you want to watch the fireworks on the fourth of July head over to Ann Morrison Park. The Train Depot offers another good spot to catch the action.
