No Pants Day
A recent article in the Statesman came out about “Friday’s No Pants Day” you know like Friday is jeans day. This concept was founded by a group of down in Texas and so far I can’t see that is has caught on but for some reason it is being promoted in Boise Idaho.
Apparently on Friday instead of pants, dresses, etc. we are supposed to wear boxer shorts, briefs, boxer-briefs, bloomers, and slips. For one thing if there are woman that still has bloomers I don’t want to see them walking down the street! Secondly, I don’t care to look at my less than perfect body as it is I don’t need to see fellow Boiseans “hanging out”. Along with the no pants day concept we are supposed to ride the city bus, which I think is a good thing but I am bringing my can of disinfectant.
All in the name of fun and trying to lessen the harshness of the economy and worldly events is a good cause but I think we have much better ways of having fun than leaving our pants at home. Trust me you will be glad I wore mine…
How about smiling? It can be contagious and make people feel good.
